She was born on June 17, 1925 in Pécs, Hungary. As a child she lived in Budapest. When the ghetto was formed she was taken to forced labor, even though she was forced to marry, believing that married women were not taken. Through the Swiss embassy she returned to the ghetto and waited for her liberation. Thanks to the Joint she went to Germany, then to Paris and in 1947 to Venezuela.

"You have to know how to cope with things. When you get old, you realize that you can't escape your destiny. Above all, you have to love people; love is the most important thing. You have to try to get rid of hatred, to repress it. You don't get any result with grudges, nor with hatred".

Nació el 17 de junio de 1925 en Pécs, Hungría. Desde muy niña vivió en Budapest. Al formarse el gueto fue llevada a trabajos forzados, pese a haberse casado obligada, creyendo que a las mujeres casadas no se las llevaban. A través de la embajada suiza volvió al gueto y allí esperó la liberación. Gracias al Joint fue a Alemania, después a París y en 1947 a Venezuela.

“Hay que saber sobrellevar las cosas. Cuando uno llega a viejo se da cuenta de que no hay posibilidad de escapar al destino. Sobre todo , hay que querer a la gente; tener amor es lo más importante. Hay que intentar sacarse el odio, reprimirlo. No se obtiene ningún resultado con rencores, ni con odio”.
