Invitation to the Photography Exhibition Portraits of Survivors of Nazism and the Shoah of Uruguay
After a long wait due to the pandemic. On May 9, 2022, the exhibition of Portraits of Survivors of Nazism and the Shoa will be inaugurated.
The exhibition has recently been declared of ministerial interest by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay.
This exhibition is possible thanks to the support of the Municipality of Montevideo, the Migration Museum MUMI and the Holocaust Remembrance Center of Uruguay.
The exhibition is sponsored by the Comité Central Israelita del Uruguay, Sephardic Community of Uruguay and the Hungarian Israelite Community of Uruguay.. Municipio B of Montevideo, Nueva Congregación Israelita de Montevideo, Hogar Israelita, Comunidad Israelita del Uruguay and IMAGO also support the exhibition.
The exhibition is composed of 21 portraits of survivors who arrived in Uruguay and each portrait will be accompanied by its corresponding biography and testimony.
After the inauguration of the exhibition, there will be some virtual guided tours for people who are not in Montevideo.
