He was born on July 3, 1926, in Cieszyn, Poland. In 1941, when the Nazis occupied the city, the ghetto was formed and he had to work under the orders of the SS. He was transferred with his family to the Dulag transit camp and separated there. He and his brother went through countless labor camps until they finally arrived in Blechhammer. In one of the so-called "Death Marches" they managed to escape, but two weeks later they were seized again by the almost dying SS and taken to Mauthausen. He was liberated and taken to Italy, from where he was able to reach Israel and then Venezuela.

"To this day I cannot understand how thousands of Germans followed Hitler and became criminals, torturers; how they liquidated innocent children, women, young and old without any mercy. To this day I still dream at night of my dear spirits, those who were tortured and liquidated."

Fue trasladado con su familia al campo de tránsito de Dulag y allí separados. Él y su hermano recorrieron un sinnúmero de campos de trabajo hasta llegar finalmente a Blechhammer. En una de las llamadas “Marchas de la muerte” lograron escapar, pero dos semanas después fueron apresados de nuevo por la casi moribunda SS y llevados a Mauthausen. Fue liberado y conducido a Italia, desde donde pudo llegar a Israel y luego a Venezuela.

“Hasta hoy no puedo entender cómo miles de alemanes siguieron a Hitler y se convirtieron en criminales, torturadores; cómo liquidaron a niños inocentes, a mujeres, a jóvenes y viejos sin ninguna misericordia. Hasta hoy en día sigo soñando por las noches con mis queridos espíritus, aquellos que fueron torturados y liquidados”.
